Last Thursday night we were kindly hosted by Little Ones Preschool in Loburn for our Christchurch regional hui. We had teachers join us from Spreydon and Cornerstone along with several staff from Little Ones Preschool. The visiting teachers from Spreydon and Cornerstone enjoyed having the opportunity to have a tour of this beautiful rural setting before we enjoyed a time of fellowship and professional learning.
We revisited the THRIVE document and took some time to engage with one of the strands within the document. It opened up a reflective dialogue of where people feel their centre is at currently and possible ways they could move forward to improve their organisational culture and teacher wellbeing. It was apparent to do this with any rigor it takes time. We often say we lack time in our busy centre lives, but it is important to make time for the things we really value.
It was great to see teachers connecting from different centres and strengthening our Christian community of learners.
